With beautiful weather all year round and plenty of attractions in the area, it’s easy to find fun things for kids in and around San Antonio, Texas. Whether you’re looking to entertain teenagers, young kids, or toddlers, there’s something for everyone. Check out these four attractions for kids.

San Antonio Zoo

At the San Antonio Zoo, the whole family can have a great time. You can purchase tickets online or at the gate. The zoo is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the year, but hours can sometimes change due to inclement weather. One of the best ways to enjoy the zoo is by purchasing a Fun Day Ticket. It gives you access to all of the exhibits as well as the train and carousel ride.

Animals from all over the world make their homes at the San Antonio Zoo. Head to Big Cat Valley for a look at some lions and tigers. The Savanna area features elephants and giraffes. You can even get up close and personal with some farm animals at the Fun Farm area. Kids of all ages will love a day at the zoo.

Splashtown

With more than 50 rides and attractions, you can easily spend a whole day at Splashtown in San Antonio. Open daily throughout the summer and on the weekends in April and September, this is a great place to take the kids to cool off. There are different areas suited for different age groups. Bigger kids can enjoy the wave pool and all of the crazy slides. Little ones can go for a dip in the different pools when accompanied by an adult. Parents can enjoy a relaxing float around the Siesta Del Rio.

The DoSeum

San Antonio’s museum for kids, The DoSeum, was created for hands-on learning and includes interactive exhibits. Little Town is a great exhibit for toddlers and preschool-age children. This area is full of child-sized buildings and activities. They can pretend to shop at a mini market or drive around in little cars. Spy Academy is the perfect exhibit for elementary and middle school kids. Here they can break codes, solve crimes, and help other spies get out of risky situations.

If you have kids with tons of energy, take them out to the Big Outdoors area. This exhibit brings the idea of a hands-on museum and a classic park together. With slides, climbing ropes, and a water play area, kids of any age are sure to enjoy The DoSeum.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas

At Six Flags Fiesta Texas, you’ll find rides for every age. Big thrill rides are sure to keep teenagers happy, while kiddie rides are also in abundance for the littler ones. The map of the park is available online to help you plan your trip, and the rides are categorized as maximum thrills, moderate thrills, kid-sized thrills, or water-ride thrills.
