Japanese Tea Garden

The Japanese Tea Garden is open from sunrise to sunset year round. It is part of Brackenridge Park and free to enter and enjoy. Disconnect from a busy day or during your lunch and relax in natural beauty. While you are enjoying the tea garden, you can visit the Jingu House restaurant for a bite to eat while taking in the lily pond. There is also a waterfall on the grounds if the sounds of running water settle your mind. Keep in mind the waterfall is not wheelchair accessible.

Museum Reach River Walk

The Museum Reach River Walk is a 1.33 mile stretch of the river walk that is perfect for settling your mind. Located north of downtown it gives you a chance to walk along the river and take in some beautiful sites. You can see Brackenridge Park from this section of the river walk, as well as the San Antonio Zoo and the Pearl District. If you want to change up your view while you are relaxing, hail one of the river taxis and let your mind wander as you take in the sites from a different perspective.

The Woodhouse Day Spa 

There are four Woodhouse Day Spa locations in San Antonio: The Quarry Market, The Rim At La Cantera, Hotel Contessa, and the Westin-Riverwalk. Each location strives to make sure you are completely relaxed and refreshed by the time you leave. The day spa offers ten different types of massages for men and women. You can choose from Swedish, deep tissue, stone, or a core body balancing massage among other options. There is an option for expecting mom’s to relax as well. They also have a duet option for you and one other person.

Beyond the massages, you can also get facials and other skin treatments done at Woodhouse. You can receive each service separately or spend a day to relax completely.

AC Power Yoga

If you relax while doing yoga, check out AC Power Yoga. This calming studio gives you a place to focus on your practice without worrying about the outside world. The studio is the first in San Antonio to offer all power Vinyasa yoga. They are also the exclusive teachers of the Bowspring alignment system. The studio has a variety of pricing options including an $18 day-pass that includes unlimited yoga for one day.

LaVillita

If you are the type of person who relaxes while checking out art and other small shops, then LaVillita is for you. It is on the south bank of the San Antonio River in downtown. The village is on the national registrar of historic places and home to a variety of artisans and small businesses. As you take a relaxing stroll, check out the historic markers on each building to learn a little more about the history.
